Kigali – Akagera National Park – Boat Cruise on Lake Ihema
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at your hotel/lodge in Kigali. Meet your Dawnlight Journeys guide for a briefing about your 2-day Akagera safari. Depart for Akagera National Park in the Eastern Province, a scenic 2.5-hour drive from Kigali. Upon arrival, enjoy a game drive en route to your lodge, spotting wildlife such as elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, and more. Check in and relax at your lodge. After lunch, embark on an afternoon boat cruise on Lake Ihema, guided by an expert. The cruise offers opportunities to see hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of water birds, as well as other wildlife along the lake shores. After the 2-3 hour cruise, return to your lodge or camp for relaxation and dinner.
